I actually struggled to make it through that one. Iron Man 1 & 2 are probably objectively pretty good films, but RDJ is one of my least favourite actors of all time which made that one more difficult than it needed to be. Thor, by comparison, was a lot of fun. Struck a good balance between light hearted and serious. Actors generally turned in pretty good performances (except for Natalie Portman who was just dreadful) and the film itself was pretty entertaining. Interesting fight scenes. Asgard was a cool setting (although not in enough of the film, admittedly). And I really enjoyed all the Norse mythology stuff that was thrown in, even if it was stretching the material a bit. I enjoyed Thor 2 even more. That's been my favourite Marvel Cinematic Universe film so far. Though that may have had something to do with Christopher Eccleston being in it. |
Oh my God, someone doesn't like Robert Downey Jr. I can't believe I'm seeing this.
Anyway, I think both Thor movies are pretty enjoyable. Personally, I've enjoyed watching every movie from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, though I haven't seen The Winter Soldier yet.
