I found it boring, to be honest. It's like they really wanted to make it a romantic comedy, instead. Also, the gravity of Odin exiling Thor to earth in the comics was very much lost. Thor doesn't really have much of a personality but the point of the exile was that he learn some humility and some respect for Midgard.
Seriously, though, if they want to do an awesome Thor film, it's gotta be Beta Ray Bill.
