Please do not talk about XO and PS4 as if they were the same thing...

PS4 sold double of XO, and And XO does not increase hardware sales with the multyplatform, because if one wants to take it a platform for PS4 ...

This generation will be something similar to the 6th generation, with PlayStation domination (in home console) and Wii U and XO will sell much less, for me XO will sold only 10 milion more of Wii U.

lifetime?

Personally I think X1 will be 10m ahead of the wii U by the end of 2015.

PS4 and X1 are the same thing when it comes to picking wii U or not because those 2 systems will offer a ton of multiplatforms which the wii U never will. I know the graphics are different, but thats more of a PS4 v XB1 debate, but the point I wanted to make is that for most people, it will be either one of those instead of the wii U.

and instead are 2 different things regardless, because it was XBOX-PS2-GC, The Xbox had the best cross-platform, and yet has only sold 25 million VS the 160 milion of PS2.

Well, the situation was a bit different then.

Around 25 million PS2s were already sold when Xbox and GameCube entered the race. When Xbox and GameCube were available in all three important regions (Japan, America and Europe), the PS2 had already a hardware base of ~30 millions and all third-party-developers (in Japan and in the west) jumped aboard.

That was a huge advantage for the PS2 and it became the lead platform for most multiplatform-games. Some Xbox or GC versions were prettier than the PS2 version, but many games looked the same on all 3 platforms since the main focus of the developers was the lead platform... and there were no popular websites which dissected each multiplatform title and blew up minor graphical differences.

The PS4 will probably keep way ahead of the XBO sales and websites like digital foundry and lens of truth will constantly remind their readers that the PS4 is the stronger console. But many third party developers will see PS4+XBO+PC as one big platform with no clear lead platform... most of the work (x86-code, textures, 3d-models...) can be used for all three versions and in the polishing phase they try to choose the best settings for the console versions. Due to the similar architecture, most third party games will be released on PS4, XBO and PC, no matter on which of these platforms the games sell best... so if you don't care which version is the prettiest, you can't go wrong with your system choice.

Unfortunately, the Wii U is not in such a lucky position... ports of PS4/XBO-games would require much more effort, money and compromises (different architecture, less processing power, much less available RAM) than a port between the other 3 systems.
