Ha, MS and EA would love to force you to only have one option if it were up to them.  Consumers are one part of the equation.  Competition for your money is what keep these companies in check.  None of these organizations are above the rest.  When Sony, Nintendo and MS has smelled their success, they have all abused their power.  Without competition, none of them would care about the consumer or even their partners.
