Sony doesn't control insomniac. They never did, but Insomniac never met Sony standards so Sony never offered to purchase them. They've always been close second party to Sony and still are, but they are trying to make more money for their company by branching out. It hasn't exactly helped but rather hurt them. I am hoping this game is a hit for their sakes because a lot of companies are going to probably go down this generation. Insomniac had Sony as a faithful publisher for over a decade, so hopefully they find one in Microsoft because they will need the backing to stay alive. They've got some really creative ideas that for some odd reason never commercially catch on.
