I'm with Jizz on this one (if you can't tell, I love saying your name on here, lol)
You guys remember that january Direct in 2013? X, SMT X FE, Yoshi... (Ninty better show Yoshi and SMT X FE this June...)
I like the multi Directs that focuses on new announcements, but with little fluff.
I do however, like these specialized Directs that focus on one game. Smash Bros, MK8, and the Pokemon Direct being my favorites.
