Wasn't there a GTA game that got rated AO and they delayed it so they could bring it down to an M rating. I don't think AO games are allowed be sold at stores so it obviously wouldn't sell well.
I think people play M games because in real life you can't kill people or blow up buildings without getting arrested. I know one guy online said he plays Grand Theft Auto because every day he has to wait in traffic to get to work and he enjoys speeding through traffic in a video game.
