This is exactly why I opted for an XB1. I wanted a decent gaming console but my wife was pissed at me buying something that she percieved to be only for me. So the XB1 became a viable option in my household as I can game to my hearts delight and she can do all the extra TV/app stuff (not that I don't do it myself at times mind you) when I'm not around. It just seemed like a nice compromise that we can all be happy with.
