Everyone who is already hyped for it knows on which platforms it will be on. Everyone who doesn't know about it yet will get hyped and start checking for which platform it will be on.
It's a nice term but I doubt that it has any impact on sales.
If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.
