Well since they already DO THIS... the question should be if people think its a good idea for them to continue to do so... not if it is a good idea for them to start doing so.... (or FOLLOW MS who is just now starting) since they've already been doing it for years....as is your op is a moot and invalid question since MS is the follower here and Sony isn't following them since they've been doing this already...
