I forgot you already have a PS3. That would be pretty to cool to be able to do that with PS3. Then you can sit on the crapper as long as you like and not miss a beat of Lost.
I'm not reffering to TV. If you want the TV, the Location Free is best. Then agian, dont it work on more than the PSP?
My point is. I have over 100DVDs. I can convert them, and put them on my PS3. (might take up 30 or 40GB) And then watch them anywhere in the world. Without haveing to have... 10 4gb memory sticks.
That just sounds like a useful feature that can be easlily added.
You would still need a PVR of some sort for that. But you can get a video chip on your PC, record the episodes.. and then just drag+drop to the PS3. And then watch it anywhere in the world.
The PS3 Platinum... (or whatever the dual cell, PS3 is gonna be) Is gonna be able to do all that. It will be a HD-PVR as well... wich kicks ass. But it's stupid expensive. I could build 2 HD-PVRs and save the files to the HDD. And then run an apache webserver to download the file to the PSP.
And actually you could download it to the PS3 and then use the PS3 send it to the PSP as well... :P
You can configure it to work for your laptop too. In addition to hooking up your cable box to it, you can hook up anything that outputs video (DVR, DVD player, etc) So if you have a DVD jukebox you can play your movies over the internet without converting them. I would suggest saving your money until they have it working for the PS3.
