I'd even go so far as to say the N64 was a more adult-oriented console than the Playstation was. |
Rares games were more adult oriented, but Nintendos games were not. The clear difference between intention of first and second party, my friend. If you ever got that feeling of mature gaming from Nintendo remember it was mostly Rares doing as Rare carried the other half of their burden. So sad...now they are gone and their IP's belong to Microsoft now. I wonder how mature their titles have made Microsoft seem. Not much at all as it seems, because Microsoft always endorsed mature titles. Gears is first party now, which is something Nintendo would never do to tarnish their good name.
