ON TOPIC: I'm sorry for going a little off topic so far. In terms of artistic photography, I have to say that the inFamous pics I've seen look a class apart. The Wind Waker pics above are cartoony and hence don't express the same nuanced artistry as the inFamous pics in the OP. The Halo pics looked unbelievable (literally), but if what Ethomaz said is true (i.e. it isn't readily accessible to the end user), then inFamous is defintely a major next step in the direction the OP has hinted.

I won't go to far to say Sucker Punch invented or created this artistic photography in the game market because others game already had it in one way or other.

What Sucker Punch did was popularize this feature... together with the easy way to share pics in the PS4 (just needs to hit a button) they are creating a new tendency in the games.

I expect more games to have some kind of Photo Mode... it will be standard in any game in the future.

Think like the same thing when the Cellphones started to have cameras with easy upload do internt... everybody started to take pictures from anywhere... after that apps like Instragam got popular... gaming photos is following the same.

Now that's a post I can agree with! Indeed, I am already looking forward to printing out beautiful screen grabs for my study. I can just imagine the moments in MGS5 that I'll be capturing. This ease-of-use of this feature sets it apart big time.

Your camera-phone analogy is a very good one :)
