Hypothetical questions about the past are so delightfully futile...
Personally, I think I'd be more than a little miffed, since it would mean yet another generation I wouldn't be getting into for years thanks to the high prices of the systems. Only worse than ever, as usually the practical price point for me is $200 to $250, and I would not be too happy with the prospect of buying a product with notorious hardware failure issues as the 360 exhibits for even that much. Not to mention that the standard controller format is really starting to bore me after having used it for the last 20 years of my life...
