So I did some research and the crash seemed different that I initally imagined. 
There are no streetlights in sight, which would explain the poor visibility.
The speed limit implies that it is something like a rural highway.
She does not seem to be speeding as it is said she is going 90 km/h on a 80 km/h road. Converted into mph that would be about 56 mph on a 50 mph road.
