Any game franchise has the theoretical potential to be made big enough to be a massive system seller. Without knowing more than "it's Fatal Frame for the Wii U", you can't know for certain that it will be niche. Of course, the chances of it being big is relatively small, given the history of the franchise, but if I'm not mistaken, this is the first major console release of a game in the franchise since Nintendo became co-owner of it. Nintendo may have had more influence on development of this game, and it could theoretically have made it better. I guess we'll see when more info about the game is released.
