They could still do one in what remains of this month (unlikely, but still possible), Nintendo doesn't usually announce the Directs until only a couple days prior.
I really hope they have a conference this year. Last year's ND was far less memorable than Sony's or Microsoft's presentations, and also weaker than any other Nintendo presentation since 2010, which was possible the best press conference I've seen at E3.
