Titanfall is reviewing above average on 7th gen as well. Its an above average game, simple as that.

You're going into detail about what Sony did with PS3... but what actually encouraged many people to eventually buy a PS3 was significant price cuts years over year.

No 8th gen console is taking the same finanical risk as the PS3. Even at $600 it was apparently selling at a loss. Courtesy of Bluray and teh cell.
