Nintendo's art style transfers so well to HD. Looking at Super Mario 3d World, Smash, Mario Kart, etc. it really shows you how far good art style can go, even in comparison to high end tech. 

Yep. By extension, this is why the only games that really excite me graphically on PS4/XB1 are oddballs like Rime and Shantae. Less about pushing the tech, more about doing something interesting with the given tools.
