Really you don't? At first neither did I, not playing Pokémon I had no idea, maybe, I don't remember, I guessed it could be a Pokémon, as there was a Ninty console, I googled a description of it and what it did (possessing the fridge) and amongst a lot of irrelevant results, I found it. 
Anyhow, Rotom (a Pokémon) possesses a fridge to pull a prank on Leo the VG Cat, then it has the bad idea of possessing a Wii U and ends up like it, forsaken and forgotten, sadly collecting dust on a shelf. The old and trite dust ccollecting joke made funny again thanks to creativity. Obviously a big part of the fun are the people taking it far too seriosly and getting all riled up.
