Well, i do think 3rd parties felt they had nothing to gain by supporting Nintendo. They dont want to jeapardise unstabilising the PS+Xbox market.
They certainly were quick to jump ship. I also think that the fact that Nintendo is an old school Japanese company made them partners that are more difficult to deal with and that they cant influence as easily. 3rd parties certainly feel they have more power of influence with Sony and Microsoft.
