In terms of basic functionality yes, but in terms of visual appeal? The Gamecube definitely coulda used a redesign! I remember making fun of my brother for buying a purple lunchbox, so much so that he eventually sold it and bought the silver one. Yes I used to be a bad little boy! xD

I guess it looks a bit dorky on the outside. The Gamecube needs to be opened to be fully appreciated though. The controller port and fan are the only things with a wire connecting them. Everything else, even the disc drive, is hard connected dirrectly to the main circuit board. With one heat sink in the middle. It's like a doughnut of R&D genius.
