I've owned the Wii U for about 3 months now so I think it's time to give my thoughts on it. Below you will see how well I think the Wii U is in terms of features and stuff. I'll review games on here later on. (Maybe, depends on how this goes)

1) Design: The Wii U is small enough to fit in the same spot that the Wii was previously in. (I needed it to be) The look of the system is nothing special and pretty basic with its black color and oval / box shape.

2) Power: I have owned both a PS3 & XB360 and some Wii U games have made me think "this looks really nice". I think this has a lot to do with Nintendo games having more of a cartoon look to them while other games normally try to look more real. As a result, the Wii U has already produced some of the best looking games I've seen using that kind of graphics approach. This will only get better as Nintendo gets use to the systems abilities.

3) GamePad: Before getting the Wii U I was hesitant about it like so many others who have never tried it. I opened it and thought "this is bigger than I thought it'd be". After playing around with it, I decided it was kind of cool and useful for certain things but still wasn't impressed by it. Now that I've had more time with it, I think it's pretty awesome. Having a simple map or inventory screen right there without having to pause the game is actually much better than it sounds. At first, I didn't care for Off-Tv play much but that feature is also very useful. Just having the option to play on the Tv or the Gamepad gives choice which is nice to have. Off-Tv play is only good with certain games because most games look and feel a lot better playing on the Tv but when it's used, it works.

Overall, the Wii U is a great system that seems more than capable of delivering an awesome gaming experience. The real test will be the games available for the system throughout its life but I see a lot of potential.
