The Halo 1 remaster sold 2.2 million so I really doubt sales will be much higher on a smaller installbase.

I see no reason for MS not releasing it for X360 too.

I see one: They want to make people buy X1

Halo is a great game and Halo 2 MP in particular is praised.  But I really doubt a remake would sell many Xbones.
