I have to agree with Onimusha12 that Capcom has not put the same resources into Wii support that the other systems have gotten.

But Onimusha12, that ignores the fact that we the gamers have gotten fucking ridiculous mileage out of the resources that it did put towards the Wii.

It goes beyond pessimism to blindness if you look at the first point and ignore the second. Capcom is running out of awesome last-gen games begging for Wii ports, and then we'll get your "real" games.

Well I don't think that anyone would argue that any publisher has put the same resources towards the Wii as they put into the PS3 or XBox 360; many (most) third party publishers' expectations for the Wii was that at best it would carve out a niche for itself and sell 20 to 40 Million consoles worldwide.

I believe that it is also undisputed that many (most) third party publishers are now scrambling to adapt to a market where the Wii is outselling the competition by a wide margin. The unfortunate problem (for Wii owners) is that this support won't appear overnight. Many of the "big" games Onimusha12 is complaining the Wii doesn't have take (roughly) 2 years to develop, will (likely) not be shown until they have been in development for 9 to 15 months, and take months to start a project once it has been proposed; this means that if Capcom (or any publisher) decided to produce a Resident Evil game for the Wii in March of last year we might start hearing about it today.
