The major issue is in the coming months the whole supply issue should end for Sony in Europe and Microsoft lacks a major release to close the gap.
The four regions:
1. North America - This is still very much a battle and likely will be through 2014 and 2015.
2. Europe - The Sony domination here is well beyond what I expected and hard to see gap narrowing.
3. Japan - The PS4 may be struggling for 2014 here, but X1 will do little and by 2015 I expect support to pick up there.
4. Rest of the World - Sony advantage, but bit of a wild card with Brasil and potentially China mixing things up.
For 2014 it is hard to see anything but Sony gaining a strong lead. Microsoft's goal should be to keep it close or they really will be in trouble come 2015.
