Well in total shipments it is still well ahead.  The first two quarters saw 3.2m for the 360.  However the majority of that, 1.7m, was actually in the Jan-Mar quarter.  The 360 was supply constrained and launched in more territories though, so the comparisons aren't perfect.  At the end of the year the XBOne was at ~1.8m in the US and 3m worldwide.  If that ration has held true this year, then the worldwide sales would be ~1.17m for 2014 based on 711k US sales.

I know total shipments are ahead.  It had a really good launch.  But, looking at just 2014 sales by themselves, they are shipping the same, or a worse, amount as the dying 360 has been the past few years.  It just illustrates how much sales have dropped in other parts of the world, while in the US it still remains ahead of the 360.
