Hopefully the launch is better than 3DS and is not another DS.

Errr... overall console market is down YOY everywhere, so this is not an exclusive 3DS situation. The only device that seems to be up is Vita, but not by much. 

Next-gen consoles combined sold less than 20k last week in Japan, for example.
