Simple question: Assuming that Zelda U is shown off at E3, what would you like it to look like?

Not fussed about release dates or what we'll see, there a thread for that here: http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=181551&page=1#

Now, I've put far too much thought into this, hence the fancy horizontal rule....

My ideal Zelda starts in the future, 20 years previously Ganon's armies invaded Hyrule, and unfortunately was successful. The kingdom is shattered, Ganondorf rules, etc. etc. etc.

You play as Link, a young woman who survived the onslaught of Ganon's forces by hiding away. She is tasked with finding the 3 magic baubles.

She finds the 3 magic baubles which open up a portal back in time.

Where upon you learn she is in fact the Princess Zelda, smuggled away from the capital as a baby when it became apparent that the situation was lost. Everybody knows that the prophecy tells of 3 bearers of the triforce, 2 of whom; the hero and the princess, must work together to defend the world from the 3rd. As the princess was only a babe in arms at the time, she was unable to act.

Now she is back in time, she works with Link to defeat the armies of Ganon and save the past.

Fanfiction aside, what I'd love to do in the new Zelda is play a female Link. I just think it wouuld open up interesting story telling ideas.

I'd also like a Zelda that plays to the darkness of the series. I LOVE the lightness of Wind Waker, but I'd like to play another dark Zelda. Something post-apocalyptic would be the tits.

However, I'd also love to see Hyrule at war. Put the extra grunt of the Wii U to use. But also, make Link part of the solution, not the whole thing. I loved the resistance angle in Twilight Princess.

Gameplay wise, they've already nailed it several times, just open up the world a bit more than Skyward Sword and we're golden in my eyes. Twilight Princess and Wind Waker should be the template for how open the world should be. I don't want Skyrim. I have Skyrim, give me Zelda.

Anyway, that's my wishlist. What's yours?
