Also i read somewhere diddy kong is confirmed which means 2 characters are left (my guess Mii and Bowser Jr)

 

Edit: found it, supposedly froma gaming magazine. This roster looks ok, still kinda mad about koopalings, but im happy for those who wanted them in. (MK7 had the worse character roster in the series)

The Diddy Kong thing was a mistake, and the problem is despite a whopping 30 characters, the Koopalings, the Babys, n Metal Mario take up space that should go towards more iconic and unique characters. Of course, if the true roster is revealed to be 36 or so, then this'll be a non-issue, but for right now we only know there will be atleast 30 characters.
