because they are the only games coming this year that have any chance of seriously moving some consoles. do you believe bayonetta will sell consoles? it wont, if it does it will barely do so. X? in japan maybe, in the west? barely. yarn yoshi? it wont.

Are we sure of this? Nintendo is (for whatever reason) much more quiet about their plans than Sony & Microsoft. I realize we can't talk about games that are not known to exist yet but everyone is factoring it in for the PS4 & XBO so why not Wii U? In many threads people say things like "Sony & Microsoft are going to show off a ton at E3, they're bringing the big guns" Everyone (me too) expects a huge E3 this year from them two. Why is the Wii U not included in this?

We can be pretty sure. Nintendo's major currently active home console IPs (what matters most for them right now) are NSMB, 3D Mario, Zelda, DK, MK and SSB. Of those 6, NSMB, 3D Mario and DK have all failed to pull the WiiU out of it's current hole, which just leaves the other three. Considering how much more popular MK and SSB are than Zelda, i think most can agree that if neither of them is able to help the WiiU, then Zelda won't be much use either. Hence everyone's interest in seeing how those 2 do.
