If they're going to do "daikaiju" (the actual term for giant monsters) films, I really wish they would use "suitmation", supplemented with CGI, instead of just straight CGI. It would look so much better, especially the battles.
I hope this American "Godzilla" isn't awful, but I also hope that if it does well, that doesn't just give Toho an excuse to be even lazier and cheaper about ever making another legit Godzilla film THEMSELVES, which is what most long-time G-fans genuinely want.
