This is the kind of thread that made me avoid joining this site before, but what the heck... I'll bite just this once.

OT: If that's the real reasoning for the guy to attack his roommate, I'd say he's insane. It's okay if he doesn't believes in a God or religion, but he had to be unhinged to attack someone who resembles a person he doesn't believe in. I'm not gonna overgeneralize. He's a separate case. I'm sure a good part of atheists are pretty tolerant.

As a side note, I really don't approve when atheists dismiss God and religion as a fantasy just because they think they are 100% right. I'm not looking to argue with anyone here about the veracity of any position. It's just that making inflammatory comments like that doesn't make anyone look serious or tolerant. It's not my intention to offend. It's just to give a point of view.
