I didn't really know what daggerfall was, so I googled it. It looks like it does pretty much exactly what jonathan says.
What Jonathan is saying is that 50 GB for current gen (because the textures for daggerfall are not good at all) should be enough when you follow the format he's given, that is actually quite evident that the example you're giving is doing just that.
