A) Yes, bad news and scandal will always top positive reports. With parity, there is really nothing to talk about. All you can really say is, "okay". That's not gaming, that's everything. You'll see a news story that says, "Man Chokes On Chicken Bone," but not one that reads, "Man Has Nice Dinner With Family".
It's not like it's just a Sony thing, either. I remember reading threads about the PS3 multi-plats not looking as good as 360 multi-plats and someone would inevitably post images from a new game that looked close enough to not matter.
B) At the start of this gen, parity was expected. It's something to talk about and speculate on.
C) The Crew looks kind of ratty.
