The simple reason is because in most people's view the XBone's fate as far as being the winner or loser this gen for sales/importance is not written in stone (particularly if your focus is solely on the NA market) while the wiiU's is.
The counterpoint to my argument is that last generation there were console war debates that still ignored Nintendo, but I'm unsure if these kind of things showed up in other media to the degree we're talking about now so I don't think it's directly comparable.
