Unfortunately, it's just too late to rescue the Vita at this point in the West. It's selling next to nothing in America (which can be seen in NPD), and nothing, be it a price cut, advertising, games etc. can change the public perception about the system there. It's similar in Europe as well, though maybe not quite as bad.
The Vita will have some great games; I love my Vita; but expecting it to be a massive success (or even a moderate one) now it being somewhat optimistic. I'm fine enjoying the games on the system and not concerning about the sales.
