Tell me if you don't think it looks very similar in effects and style. I think MK8 is better looking than this Sonic racing, but incrementally so. Oh and the reviewer says it's more fun than MK at around 8:00.

I've Sonic Racing games extensively. On PS3/360 they run at 30fps with frequent dips into the low 20s, plenty of screen tearing, and on 360, at sub-HD.
MK8 will be 720p/60fps with v-sync, count on it.
