Of course it is. It's nothing but greed on Sony's part. If Sony were really interested in giving people who own a ps4 but never owned a ps3 a chance at playing The Last of Us, they would have made the ps4 backwards compatible. Why is it that Nintendo gets no credit for being the only one to retain backwards compatibility this gen? That should be a huge plus, as they're truly looking out for the consumer there. Meanwhile, Sony and Microsoft nixed backwards compatibility with the sole intention of turning last gen games that can still be considered new into additional $60 cash grabs. And the worst part of all of it is Sony gets praised for this by the blinded fanboy masses! Seriously?!?  Really pisses me off. The public is guaranteeing that backwards compatability forever dies by supporting this kind of thing.

Nintendo doesn't get any credit for it cause the only people that act as if this is "a huge plus" are a very niche group on the internet, most people don't care about playing their older games and if they do then they just keep the older systems. Now if you mean that people that never owned a Wii can cheaply get those Wii games and play them on the Wii U, then this whole "Nintendo is looking out for the customer" construct quickly collapses upon itself, because even five year old games like Mario Kart Wii still retail for pretty ridiculous and "greedy" prices.  This whole notion that Nintendo is less "greedy" than the other 2 is complete horseshit, what about the Super Mario Allstars Limited Edition for Wii that sold a SNES port of a couple NES games for $30? What about the Wind Waker remake they sold for $50? Why doesn't the Wii U just play GC games as well, if it did this remake wouldn't be necessary according to your logic. So why did Nintendo get praised for that by "the blind fanboy masses".

People have been asking for a PS4 version of the game since its release, Sony aren't more greedy than any of the other companies for acting on this demand and at the very least they're including the DLC in those $60 instead of just selling their 6 month effort without any additional content for basically full price (hint: Wind Waker HD)
