They are working on stability for the most part. Features will come with time.
BTW what is Sony missing that is so important? No DLNA and Local Media Playback is seriously about all it lacks that it needs.

Basically most disc media functions and the PS3 BD remote don't work still. Generic headsets and Webcams. File management and Home screen customization.

It's a bluetooth device. It should of worked from the start.
I have 6 Bluetooth headsets. None work. Five of the 6 worked on PS3.
'Cause the PS3 let you use any webcam and it worked fine. Why not the PS4. Besides money grabing.
Pictures, video, file renaming, USB playback integration management. Basic file viewing. I have to go to system storage and hit options to play a recorded game video or photo. Burried under too many menus. Seeing file sizes without going to the move or delete menu. Home screen icon organization, Auto cycle wallpapers, And themes. The things that are on the PS3. And were heavily wanted on the PS3. Oh, and being able to delete throphies of games would be nice.

Bluetooth headsets are terrible and should be gotten rid of as Sony has done
The PSCamera is the only one that should work to avoid crappy webcams same as with bluetooth headsets

I'm sorry why should the PS3 BD remote not work on the PS4. It's a generic remote control. The DS4 can play PS3 games when they come out. The PS4 has no remote working right now. I will not buy a new one. Or use a DS4 controller. A BD remote is not gonna change in any way. And not all webcams and mics are crap. I have webcams that equal or exceed the quailty of the PS camera. I have a 90$ 7.1 headset as well. Again, no reason to limit except for money grabing sony products.

If you do not accept that 90% of bluetooth headsets that are used on the PS3 is garbage then you obviously do not play online......... ever....... Sony did us all a favor.
The PSCamera is a bargain at 60$ and it keeps crappy web cams off.
