EU numbers aren't that bad if you consider that the only two games that appeal there last year were basically Killzone and Tearaway. Still, the 13k in sales in the rest of the world seems high. Specially because it is a expensive handheld and not the best thing in developing markets. Of course, it could be related to FF X/X-2 HD.

Yep, it's one of the most obvious victims not only of the divergence of Western and Japanese gaming tastes, but also of the move to big AAA development - western devs and publishers just aren't interested. If the Japanese industry hadn't had so many problems in Gen7 both technical and otherwise then they might have been able to cover this across the board, but not with the sort of games they're currently making.

A standalone FF or KH could still help generate something of a turnaround but it's always going to be niche. Still t least it punches above it's weight I feel in terms of SW sales
