Mario Kart 7 already had this in the form of communitys, so I'd be extremely surprised if this game doesn't do something similar. The main online feature I'm hoping to see is local + online multiplayer! MKWii had this, but only for 2 local players. MK8 needs to improve on this by allowing for up to the full 4 local players to be able to play online!

Im not sure if people understand what you mean =P

I think some people have you mixed with the single player GPs where you unlock characters and earn trophies and stars etc.
