That's not a bad idea.
I agree that it's the clashing of colors that is a bit unappealing. As someone else mentioned, Luigi U had a green box but the color around the art was also green, so it looked good. Same with NSMB Wii's red box and red framework last gen.
If it really ends up bugging me that much I may just switch it out for one of my blue boxes.
