Just made the track boring in my opinion, especially because unless you were an idiot and/or misaimed your jump down that first trough, there was no way to go over the side. It was just a marathon stage, which with 64's bad rubberband AI just made it a grind, compared to more dynamic 64 stages like Yoshi Valley or Banshee Boardwalk.

Was it really the AI that was hard, or maybe you are, well, you know! xP
Besides, human opponent's are leagues more difficult.
Asside from taking that grotesque shortcut, I don't see why you need your best just to hold down the A button for what feels like ages. The Wii U version on the other hand looks like it's going to require much more input this time around!
