Two screens will die with the 3DS IMO. It's pointless now that bigger multitouch screens are cost effective, it made sense for the DS in 2004 because back then a very large touch panel would've been extremely expensive, and having just one screen that was about 3 inches would've been easily obscured by the hand.

For 3DS is makes sense because the top display is 3D (obviously).

I don't see it making sense in the future though. I think Nintendo is ditching 3D, and the second screen honestly is usually a waste. It just displays a map of auxiliary information, when having one larger screen would allow a developer to use more screen real estate on what actually matters - the damn game, lol.

Two screens just drive up cost and needlessly chews away at battery life too.

Using one screen will make the system stand out much more from the 3DS too, whereas when the 3DS launched there was a ton of confusion as to whether it was a new system or just a new DS model. And it makes more sense if this is a hybrid console device where games are designed to be shared for play on the handheld or the TV, the TV is one screen, so should the handheld, so devs don't have to make games with different screen configs. That would just needlessly complicate the whole idea of one shared gaming ecosystem.

So what you want is for Nintendo to make a Vita that has games that you can play on your TV as well? Wouldn't a hybrid console need to have catridges instead of DVDs?

I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.
