I actually found a used copy of Final Fantasy III for SNES at a storefront on the showroom floor at New York Comic Con five years ago. I picked it up (along with Banjo-Tooie) because it represented a huge gap in my video game resume. I got around to playing it about a year later and it was a total game-changer for me. It proved to me the potential greatness of turn-based role-playing games and it pulled me headfirst into the Final Fantasy series. It also rocketed into my top five games list, and has remained there since.
