That used to be the case. In the past few years, though, it has become a less commonly followed rule.

Which is fine to me. I like my holidays to last 24 hours, not 12. It's also more respectful of peoples' work schedule.

its not a holiday though because no one would be at work it if was. It is like talk like a pirate day or earth hour day.
