I don't get why so many people have issues with W8/W8.1... Yea they fucked up but the OS is still great and its much faster than W7 in terms of boot and overall performance. As for the metro UI and lack of start menu, you can get a free start menu from third party and with W8.1, you can boot directly to desktop by skipping the MetroUI entirely... I don't mind the metro UI at all since it gives me really quick access to my email and others. I boot and check if I have any new email, calender events and messages asap without going to indivual sites to check them and its still faster boot even on mechanical hard drive

But oh well, Windows 9 Beta is suppose to be in April people and I know I will be looking at it but if you hate the Metro UI, then too bad cause according to the rumours, its gonna be here to stay
