It may be a servive you can get outside of Xbox but it's still something you pay for in order to "rent". And you guys are all "I don't like rental service. I want to own".
What you're trying to argue against is a "can't have your cake and eat it too" situation, i.e. being hypocritical.
You don't like PS+ because you have to pay to "rent" games and you'd rather keep your games, but your stance completely changes for Netflix which you have to pay to "rent" movies and it's ok that you don't own them, because it's somehow irrelevant because you can get it someplace other than Xbox? You're still paying money to "rent", which you said you were against. But....then you went and said Gold gives you the benefit of having everything in the same place? And PS+ doesn't??
