You can't ban them over there but you can limit the amount of ammo they can own, have background checks for purchases and have mandatory training in say the army (the 2nd amendment was supposed to be for a militia). The Swiss seem to be relatively free on guns and have very few incidents in comparison.
I do wonder how many Americans die from gun accidents compared to say armed murders or whatever
